Tips on Calling Leads

When calling your prospects, do you find it difficult, maybe even impossible? 

I’m here to tell you, it’s not impossible and it doesn’t have to be difficult… maybe you just need a new approach.  Think about it, when someone calls you and starts talking about how they got your number because you are interested in … blah, blah, blah (lost you already didn’t they).  Well, are you doing the same thing?

The average person’s instinct is to say no and get rid of you as fast as they can.  You need to remember when you call, you are most likely interrupting them and already you have 1 strike against you.

What if you start out a little different?  Get their attention … make them more interested in what you have to offer.

Ok… to start, write down what you want to say, organize that into an opening about what you want to say about what you have to offer, make the opening as least 30 seconds, maybe longer if you can.  Tell it like you would tell your friend, you wouldn’t be afraid to talk with them would you?  

When you do call your prospect, use their first name,  Say Hello (first name)  this is (your first name) and (then just continue your opening without waiting for them to say anything, you don’t want to give them the opportunity to end the call before you have said what you called to say).   If you use their first name and your first name only, they’ll be wondering if they ever met you or when they met you and be more interested in listening to you which gives you the opportunity to get your information out there!

I find that this is the most effective way to deal with calling leads.  Go ahead, practice first on a friend, then go for it!  Don’t be afraid, what’s the worst that can happen?  They hang up?  What if they ask for more information … there you go…. that’s what you want!

Using Video Emails

Is there a better way than branding yourself and getting your message out to everyone than video emails?

Traffic Exchanges

All traffic exchanges use a credit system - you view my site and I'll view your site.  
Each member of the traffic exchange can obtain credits in two ways.  
  1. You surf the traffic exchange and earn credits or 
  2. You can purchase credits.  
Either depends upon you and how much time and effort or cash you are willing to spend.

Then you can use those credits on getting visitors to your site with either site impressions, banner impressions, text impressions, and in some cases even email advertising to the traffic exchange's members.

Still Learning

I've been working in network and affiliate marketing for about 5 years or more now (Whew, time flies!) and I've learned alot, but I'm not done learning yet!  The internet is an every changing creature and I love it! More and more opportunities for more and more people.

Use Article marketing to help increase your traffic

Everyone tells you how important it is to write an article and submit it.  Great you say, so what kind of article and where do I submit it?  I've had those very same questions and struggled with them for quite some time.  So I want to give you some tips because as you know, Article marketing can be very effective and more importantly, it's free. 


Things to keep in mind to have successful article marketing:

1. Keywords - your article topic
2. Headline
3. Content
4. Signature

Start by choosing a keyword and then finding a good list of keywords to use for writing your articles and use as many as apply.  Use a keyword tool such as Google Keyword Tool  to help build your list.  Use one of the keywords in your article title (headline) and a couple of times in your content.


Make your headline catchy or informative.  An example "Use Article marketing to help increase your traffic"  or "Article Marketing Secrets Revealed"


Add a signature at the end of your article, using either your name or an alias (pen name) if your prefer.

Outsourcing your article writing is often a great thing to do because it frees up a lot of time and allows you to produce a lot of great content that will give you profits for the months to come on auto-pilot.

Let's talk about Sweeva today

What is Sweeva?  It’s a unique program combining the elements of social networking and free traffic exchange programs, the first in social browsing.  The more you understand how the system works the easier it will be for you to take advantage of all the features it has to offer.  I have been a member for quite sometime now and just thought I would pass along some of the tips and tricks that I have learned from others along the way.

Get started by checking out the FAQ section.   There are some great questions and answers there that will help you understand more about Sweeva. 

When you first get started, be sure to fill out your profile info.  Updating your profile is an important step, remember this is a social network and free traffic exchange program combined.  People want to know who is promoting to them, also add your picture to your profile, it really does help brand you.

Adding your websites to Sweeva is easy.  And if you download the Sweeva toolbar you’ll earn loyalty points too.  The websites you add will be visible on your Sweeva profile for other members to see even if you don’t promote them with bids.

Set up your bids for the sites you want to be seen and when you want them seen.  If you plan on surfing Sweeva for awhile try adjusting your bids to see how low you can go.  It usually takes about 10 minutes to find out if your bid has been accepted.  Don’t overbid unless you really want to get your site seen now.  Regardless of how many credits you bid your site will only be seen by however many people are surfing at the time it is shown.  The number of people surfing varies throughout the day but you can get a good idea of when Sweeva is most active by looking at the daily stats. You can also see how many people are currently online by looking at the “Previous Site” numbers at the bottom of the members area.  Wait until there is a good sized crowd of people surfing before you show your site to maximize your page’s exposure.

If you can, be present when your site is being shown.  You can personally welcome people to your page and let them know that your are there if they have any questions.  Be social.  Thank people if they say something nice.  Give out stars.  Have fun with it and reap the rewards.

Giving and Receiving feedback on sites you promote by leaving comments will help you earn experience points and also help you get recognized as a member of the Sweeva community.  Remember to be positive when you leave feedback and you want to keep only the positive feedback on your sites.  Delete unwanted comments from your pages before they are shown.  Negative comments are fine because it gives you a chance to interact with people but I would rather people only see the quality comments on my page.  A page full of people posting “ok” and “good” does nothing to benefit you so you may consider deleting them as well. 

When you refer a new member to Sweeva post a message on their profile to welcome them.  Let them know that you are available to help them if they need it.  Remember, the more active your Sweeva referrals are the greater your rewards.

Consider upgrading if you can afford it. Sweeva membership is one of the best deals around.  Not only will you earn greater commissions from your downline but you will also earn credits and experience points faster than free members.

With so many ways to get lost on the internet while trying to succeed, I've decided to create this blog for my followers so they can follow along as we build our "web" of successes.
